The two layers within the sock means that if there is any friction, it is between the two layers rather than with your foot. Rather than your typical cotton sock, which tends to retain the sweat, these socks are made from a mixture of materials. The materials are designed to optimise the ability to wick away sweat, keeping your feet dryer. Extra padding is also provided at the heel, around the ball of the foot and at the toes to improve the comfort of the sock for those longer runs. Combining all this together makes for a supreme sock, which will look after you on the most extreme runs.
