Women’s Trail Running Shoes

Trail running takes you off the road or track and onto different terrains, more challenging and often muddy and uneven. Due to the difference in terrain it is understandable that a Trail running shoe will have certain features that differ from a regular running shoe which is designed for the road.

Trail running shoes are more durable and will offer a much more aggressive grip which provide better stability on uneven, muddy surfaces and in slippery, wet weather conditions. Also, many Trail shoes have water resistant uppers, some will even use a Gore-Tex to completely waterproof the shoe whilst maintaining breathability.

It is important to realise that Trail Shoes tend to offer less cushioning than a road shoe because the terrain is usually softer. This helps to keep the price down, but if your runs consist of both road and off road it’s worth considering paying extra for one of the better trail shoes to ensure enough cushioning is provided for the road.
