Nike

Founded in 1964 by Bill Bowerman, the University of Oregon track coach and Phil Knight, an accounting student and middle-distance runner. It officially became Nike, Inc. in 1978 and is now the largest sports distributor in the world, specialising in all fields such as golf, hockey, football and most importantly running.

For years, Nike running has strived to do more than just produce running shoes, but to revolutionize the world of running shoes and propel running to worldwide fame. Nike has always been at the forefront of cutting edge technology with advances like Nike+ and has always succeeded in blending it with fashion.

Advanced technology such as what's in the Lunarglide and Lunareclipse running trainers, the promise was to deliver a lightweight shoe with innovative aspects of stability; this promise was delivered with Lunarlite foam, a NASA technology. Lunar Foam is an extremely lightweight foam material which is 30% lighter than standard foam materials, it has exceptional properties that allow it to compress and return to its original shape more responsively than traditional foam, the most lightweight trainer on the market at the moment.
