Mizuno's unique wave plate technology provides excellent cushioning by dispersing the force of impact across a larger surface area. The stability aspect of wave technology seen in the Wave Inspire is gained by the construction differing between the outside (lateral) and the inside (medial) of the shoe, therefore resisting the compression of the midsole in high pressure areas. The wave plate within all Mizuno running shoes offers excellent energy return on every stride and due to the presence of a lightweight wave plate, there is less foam used in the sole, meaning an all round lighter shoe.
