It is a medical grade graduated compression sock in from Evexar Medical - designed by Consultant Vascular Surgeons and Textile Engineers to aid performance in stamina dependent activities. The considered mechanism of action is an enhanced venous return to the heart, which delivers oxygen enriched blood back to the muscles. The socks aim to lessen muscle fatigue and provide additional support at the ankle. They provide benefit also, if standing or sitting for prolonged periods and are known to have a significant anti-thrombotic (anti DVT) effect.
