Runner’s Nipple
This occurs when clothing is constantly rubbing against the nipples, usually during long runs when you're particularly sweaty. Some types of fabric are more likely to cause this, like cotton t-shirts which tend to retain the moisture from sweating a lot more than a technical fabric found in specifically made running apparel.
Try these tips to stop it:
- Wear specially made running apparel designed to wick moisture away from the skin like the Nike Dri-fit range.
- Apply blister stick or Vaseline to the nipples (or any other part of the skin that is suffering from chaffing) to help reduce the friction and to create a barrier between the fabric and your skin
- If the chaffing is really bad, then apply some plasters over the nipples.
